Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak on his Twitter reacted to the situation with the stop of the Sukra Okan dry cargo ship in the Black Sea.
From the point of view of Podolyak , the incident is «an attempt to introduce» marque «». What happened must be clearly recorded legally, he shared his opinion. In addition, as the adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president noted, it is necessary to identify persons and recognize «the fact of a crime committed by the international community.»
The Ukrainian side will choose the «best response» to the inspection of the Sukra Okan dry-cargo ship by the Russian Federation, summed up Podolyak.
On August 13, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation informed about the opening of fire to stop a dry cargo ship in the Black Sea. The incident happened at approximately 6:40 am (Moscow time). A Russian patrol ship discovered in the south-western part of the Black Sea the Sukra Okan dry-cargo ship flying the flag of Palau, heading to the Ukrainian port of Izmail.
The captain of the dry-cargo ship incited the demand to stop for inspection, so the Vasily Bykov was forced to open the vessel warning fire. After the inspection procedure was carried out, the ship continued on its way to the port.
