MOSCOW, Aug 14 Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the First-Called Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Lebedev with the Order of the Holy Apostle Andrei Vyacheslav Lebedev for outstanding services in the development of the judicial system, the corresponding decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Lebedev celebrates his 80th birthday on Monday.
For outstanding merits in the development of the domestic judicial system, strengthening law and order to award the Order of the Holy Apostle Andrei the First-Called Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev,» the document says.
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin congratulated the Chairman of the Supreme Court anniversary, noting the authority, experience and professionalism of Lebedev.
«You enjoy well-deserved authority, you do a lot to strengthen statehood, the democratic foundations of our society, protect the rights of citizens, ensuring the rule of law and justice. Your experience, professionalism, work to improve the efficiency of the judiciary, contribution to the improvement of legislation inspire respect,» Volodin is quoted on the State Duma website.
The State Duma Speaker also wished Lebedev success, health and happiness.
