MOSCOW, August 16 Roscosmos has published a new image from the camera of the Luna-25 interplanetary station, which continues its flight to the Earth's satellite.
The frame shows structural elements of Luna-25 with pasted emblems of Roscosmos, the Space Research Institute and NPO Lavochkina.
The Soyuz 2.1b rocket with the first domestic lunar station in almost 50 years, Luna-25, was launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome at 02.11 Moscow time on August 11. «Luna-25» should be the first device to make a soft landing in the area of the South Pole of the Moon with a difficult terrain. It is due August 21st. The main goal is to conduct contact studies of the lunar soil for the presence of ice.
