VORONEZH, Aug 20 An emergency situation has been introduced in the Paninsky district of the Voronezh region due to an anthrax outbreak, the district administration reports.
«In connection with the detection of an anthrax focus on the territory of the Paninsky municipal district, by decree of the governor of the Voronezh region of August 20, 2023 and the order of the administration of the Paninsky municipal district of August 20, 2023, an emergency regime was introduced,» the message says.
The state of emergency will be in effect in the district until November 16, 2023 inclusive. In connection with the situation, visits to the territory by unauthorized persons are limited, the movement and import of animals not vaccinated against anthrax, the slaughter of animals not vaccinated against anthrax and the export of slaughter products, the procurement and export of feed, and the hunting of wild animals are prohibited.
«At present, the regional structures, together with the administration, have taken measures to localize and disinfect the focus of an infectious disease, the boundaries of the focus have been established,» the message says.
