MOSCOW, Aug. 21 Authorities of the Zaporozhye region expect to increase the cargo turnover of the Berdyansk seaport up to 3.5 million tons per year, the corresponding program for the development of the region, designed for the next 10 years , is available .
As noted, the Zaporozhye region is faced with the task of establishing inter-regional integration with other southern regions of Russia. To this end, it is planned to bring up to 100% of the road network into the normative state, as well as increase the cargo turnover of the Berdyansk Sea Port to 3.5 million tons per year. The freight turnover of the Melitopol Railway Company is planned to be increased to 21 million tons per year.
The regional development program also includes the task of completely modernizing the energy complex of the region, as well as providing 100% of the region's residents with high-quality gas supply.
