MOSCOW, Aug 18 State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov , commenting on the idea of deputies of the Krasnoyarsk City Council to take mental health certificates from candidates for deputies, he said that there are no psychopaths among the deputies, or they «masterfully hide.»
Deputies of the Krasnoyarsk City Council want to apply to the State Duma with a proposal to oblige candidates for deputies and other elective positions to provide certificates of mental health and addictions, City Council deputy Roman Krastelev said on his page on the social network VKontakte.
«I look at it calmly: the deputy is already undergoing a strict medical examination and a professional examination. I think there are no psychopaths among parliamentarians. Or they are masterfully hiding. Again: won't the norm on testing for normality become an instrument of pressure and censorship?», — he said.
According to the parliamentarian, on the one hand, it is difficult to disagree with the thesis about the mental health of deputies, but on the other hand, this is not the first time «we are faced with such proposals from, as a rule, a vocal opposition minority,» — added Milonov.
