ROSTOV-ON-DON, 22 Aug. The Southern District Military Court sentenced Sergey Yuryev, a resident of the DPR, to 5.5 years in a penal colony for publishing data on movements for four years military equipment in the republic, the court informs.
According to the agency, from 2015 to 2019, the defendant repeatedly posted on the Internet information about the deployment and movement of military personnel and military equipment of military units of the DPR. He collected information from personal observations, communication with residents of the Starobeshevsky district of the DPR, as well as monitoring various Internet resources.
In addition, in August 2018, Yuryev published a message and a comment by another user on the Internet containing signs of a call for terrorist activities and justification terrorism.
«In accordance with the court's verdict, the defendant was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of five years and six months in a strict regime correctional colony,» the report says.
The verdict has not yet entered into force.
