Colonel Matviychuk: hostilities in Ukraine may end in autumn
The fighting in Ukraine may end by the fall of this year, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have the forces and means for the offensive and defense, said in an interview with Izvestia military expert, reserve colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.
The analyst commented accordingly on an article in the Le Temps newspaper, which cited the words of an officer of the Ukrainian battalion Mikhail that the onset of winter could complicate military operations for the Ukrainian army.
< p>«What they are writing now, — this is completely absurd. I think that the hostilities will end by the end of autumn, since the forces and means that the Armed Forces of Ukraine put up against Russia are no longer able to resolve issues of either defense or offensive, ”the source of the publication shared his point of view.
Matviychuk also allowed the conflict to be dragged out by supplying some military products.
The counter-offensive operation advertised in Kiev began on June 4 in the South-Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Artemivsk directions. Ukraine threw into the battle units trained by NATO instructors and armed with Western-made equipment. Nevertheless, as Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not achieved success in any of the sectors of the front and are suffering colossal losses.
