Starting September 1, Raiffeisenbank will increase the minimum commission for dollar transfers from other banks to $1,000.
The maximum commission amount will be 10 thousand dollars. The bank explained this measure as “changes in market conditions” and advised customers to use other methods of receiving payments.
A fixed fee for incoming transfers will be 50% — this was established back in June. However, then the commission should not exceed $500.
After February 24, 2022, the US and the EU imposed sanctions against 31 Russian banks, including Sberbank, VTB, Tinkoff and Alfa-Bank. Many of them were banned from making money transfers through the SWIFT system. The Russian branch of Raiffeisenbank was one of the few that escaped the restrictions.
