World and European champion in figure skating Elizaveta Tuktamysheva continues her performance in Tatiana Navka's ice show «History love of Scheherazade», which takes place in Sochi from July 13 to August 20. During one of the breaks, the 26-year-old athlete talked to a reporter about finding motivation, the upcoming season and creative plans for the time after her career.
— In the winter in the show you were in the form of a villain, now — in the form of a goddess. Who is more convenient to play?
— I won’t say who is closer to me in character, but it was more interesting for me to play Sais (the main antagonist). It was the first role that I learned in this production. And when you start with something, this is what you most of all penetrate. Plus, the role of Sais is more ambitious, you spend more time on the ice, you interact more with partners. And the costumes are more in my style — black, bright blue.- In one of the episodes, Sais sets fire to the ice. How did this element come about?
— A very effective moment, but it was scary. Fortunately, there were no unpleasant incidents in connection with this. Except sometimes jumped up because it was hot.
— You have never put programs so late as this season. Was there any inner unrest in connection with this? It seems like it’s about to start soon, we need to roll everything, but there’s nothing to roll yet.
— Not really. There is enough time for everything — there would be a desire. Now I will just perform in other shows, there I will roll, including those programs that I will need in the season.
— What new programs this season?
— As for the free program, let's leave it the same. A short one will be almost new. It has already been seen in some performance, but it was not a short program.
— Are you working on the triple axel now?
— Of course, I periodically jump, I work out.
— Once upon a time, one of the goals you were interested in was a quadruple sheepskin coat. Do you have it in your plans now? .
strong>- How many percent now evaluate your form and readiness for the season? There is no doubt that I will have time to get the necessary conditions, but let's see how it will be in reality. Is there anyone among your young friends in the Russian national team who wants and can repeat the length of your career?
— Again, when there is a desire, everything is possible. I want to believe in Sofia Akatieva. A long career will allow her to leave a significant mark in figure skating.
— When you go out to compete with girls who suit you, so to speak, in very younger sisters, what do you feel? Does it happen that very young skaters turn to you for some life advice?
— We communicate well, I find a common language both with them and with their mothers. I can always find someone to talk to and about. As for advice, rather, more often they are not asked for. It is not entirely customary for us to approach our rivals for advice. But I am always open, ready to help, although I don’t even know what the girls could ask me. this year you are going into your 17th season (together with juniors — ed.). With such an experience, is there anything else that can surprise you?
— In general, no, probably. strong>— Where do you get your motivation?
While looking for her, she is not in very good condition. I look for it in everything — in music, for example. in the same stories. This is a very delicate question. Motivation cannot be squeezed out — just want and find it. It should appear on its own without any effort. And while there are problems with this.
— You were worried that you had not been to your native Glazov for a long time. Did you manage to go there?
— Yes, I recently went there to perform. I saw all the relatives. It was great to be at home.
— But there was no thought there to open a school for young compatriots, as Alina Zagitova did? , I definitely won’t refuse, but so far I don’t have such grandiose plans. And in the future, everything can be, this is one of the options for the development of events. .
