
MOSCOW, August 21 The preliminary cost of goods damaged at the Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal near Moscow due to yesterday's downpour is about 15 million rubles, the company said.
Heavy rain in Moscow and the Moscow region passed on Sunday afternoon. According to the city authorities, in a number of districts of Moscow, more than 40% of the monthly rainfall fell in less than an hour. At the same time, the company told the agency that the rain had damaged the roof of their warehouse in Elektrostal. It was clarified that restoration work had begun, while the facility itself continued to function.
«The preliminary cost of goods affected by abnormal precipitation in the Moscow region is about 15 million rubles. This amount includes both Wildberries' own goods and goods of platform sellers: mainly clothes and shoes,» it was calculated in marketplace.
At the same time, they noted that the exact amount of damage will be determined after the completion of the inventory, and the sellers will receive compensation.
