MAKHACHKALA, Aug. 22 Two people, including a police officer, died as a result of a car falling into a cliff in the mountains of Dagestan, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic reported.
According to the agency, on Monday at about 7.00 Moscow time in the Tlyaratinsky district of Dagestan, due to a rockfall, a VAZ-21102 driven by a 48-year-old local resident fell into a cliff about 500 meters high.
“As a result of the incident, the driver of the car and his passenger, a 36-year-old local resident, died at the scene from their injuries,” the report says.
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, Gayana Garieva, specified in her Telegram channel that one of the dead was police lieutenant Tazhudin Huseynov, who worked in the Tlyarata region.
