There are not many real sporting events in which you can participate on an equal footing with famous athletes. On August 25–27, the city of Yuryev-Polsky, Vladimir Region, located just 180 km from Moscow, will host the next Prince Vladimir rally-raid competition, this time in the status of the Russian Championship. The organizers offer all those who are not indifferent to this exciting discipline, using their personal car and skills, to go through the «Track Race», integrated into the above event.

«Track Race» together with the Russian Championship will start on the morning of Friday, August 25, with administrative and technical checks, identification numbers, installation of control and navigation devices on vehicles. Then all the crews on their cars will go through a pleasant ceremony of the grand opening, give autographs to the audience and advance to the first special, which is also a qualifying section 12 km long. The day will end with an evening briefing.
Saturday will meet the participants with a sports distance of restricted areas (we will tell you what it is a little later) a little more than 150 km in total. And Sunday — a route of 120 km. In total, almost 300 sports kilometers have to be overcome in order to reach the finish line.
The crews move along the road book, “the legend ”, so a navigator is required; it is also the responsibility of the navigator to control the maximum and average speed set by the organizer at each RC (Restricted Section). >
The crew that has overcome the entire three-day distance as close as possible to the parameters set by the organizer will be the first to stand on the podium of «Prince Vladimir» on Sunday, August 27.

For several years now, experiments with racing for standard cars have been firmly included in a number of events held by the Non-Profit Partnership «Interregional Association of Rally Raid Athletes»: pair races, short rally raids, as well as racing on 6 * 6 formula trucks are developing in Siberia, in within the framework of the annual project Off-Road Tournament «Power of Siberia». Personally, I really like this format of the rally, when the emphasis is not on passing the points according to the regulations, but on speed, very much to my liking. Vitaly Myakishev is a participant in the TrackRace race held as part of the Power of Siberia off-road tournament in 2023. We are going to the race in three crews. Now we are working on a format that allows us to provide everyone with the maximum non-repeating distance. I will not delve into the complexity of combining tests and timing. If in Siberia there was a task to cover 88 km, and not everyone was able to cope with it, now we are declaring 300! A good challenge for those who dare to come.
