
MARIUPOL. Aug 23 Wages at industrial enterprises of the Donetsk People's Republic will double in the next two years, Denis Pushilin, acting head of the region, said at a conference of the regional branch of the United Russia party in Mariupol, where the party's election program was announced.
“People, of course, are primarily concerned about how their wages will grow. Our plan: in the next two years in industry, it should double,” the acting head of the republic said.
According to him, in two years seven new construction enterprises will open in the republic, thus, their number will also double. The research and production complex based on the Azovstal plant, according to Pushilin, will provide an additional 12,000 jobs by 2026. Large enterprises of the region will be modernized and will receive new equipment.
“We want these industries to be re-equipped with modern equipment and become competitive thanks to investments and competent management. And they will be joined by the Ilyich plant, the Azovelectrostal, Energospetsmash, Azov ship repair plants — in total more than two dozen enterprises that were forced to suspend their activities,» the acting head of the DPR said.
