MOSCOW, Aug 23 Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the acting head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, he said that the current team is doing a good job with the tasks set and will be able to organize elections in the republic in the current difficult conditions.

Putin also drew attention to establishing direct contact with people for feedback. “The situation is not easy, it requires people to be focused and ready for serious work. I see from the results of the last months, the last year and a half: of course, your people are talented. everyone is ready to work — and they want to work, and they know how to work,» the Russian leader said.
The head of state assured that the Russian authorities will contribute to this process and a positive attitude.
Speaking of the upcoming elections, Putin said that Pasechnik's team would be able to organize them.
«This is not an easy task, I understand, in your conditions to organize this work, but with the support of the federal center, of course, you will do it. There is no doubt,» he said, adding that the main thing is to show residents that the current team is capable of solve problems in the interests of citizens.
The Head of State wished Pasechnik all the best and declared that the federal center would help the republic.
Elections in Russia will be held on a single voting day on September 10, 2023. The Central Election Commission reported that elections of senior officials in 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and additional elections of State Duma deputies for four vacant seats in single-mandate constituencies are planned in the EDG. Elections are scheduled in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
