MOSCOW, 23 Aug. The film «Bullfinch» directed by Boris Khlebnikov will be shown in China as part of the Russian Film Festival, which will be held from August 27 to September 3, the official website of the Russian Ministry of Culture reported.

"From August 27 to September 3, the Russian Film Festival, organized by the Roskino company, will be held in China with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the China Film Art Research Center. For the first time, the geography of the event includes three cities at once: screenings will be held in Beijing, Heihe and Suzhou… The program of offline screenings in Chinese cities includes six films. Viewers will see a new disaster film "Bullfinch" Boris Khlebnikov,” the message says.

Chinese viewers will also be shown the sports dramas «Bull Terrier» by Vasily Bystrov, «Starting Again» by Irina Gobozashvili and «Eleven Silent Men» by Alexei Pimanov, the crime drama «Off-Season» by Alexander Hunt and the film in the «road movie» genre — «Whaler» by Philip Yuryev ( winner of the main prize of the 4th Pingyao International Film Festival, China and the Grand Prix of the 77th Venice Film Festival in Venice, program Giornate degli autori).

It is noted that free screenings of the Russian Film Festival will be held from August 27 to 29 at the Wanda Cinema in Heihe. Then the festival will move to Beijing, where the longest program is provided. Residents and guests of the Chinese capital will be able to watch Russian films from August 29 to September 2 at the Art Cinema. After that, on August 29, the official opening ceremony of the festival will take place. The Suzhou Russian Film Festival will be held from 1 to 3 September at the Culture And Arts Centre.

A creative delegation of film representatives will arrive in China: actors Makar Khlebnikov (“Bullfinch”), Evgenia Lapova (“Eleven Silent Men”), directors Irina Gobozashvili (“Starting Again”) and Alexander Khant (“Off-Season”) «) and producers Valeria Okhotnitskaya («Bull Terrier»), Maria Nagovitsyna («Eleven Silent Men»).
In addition to creative meetings with the audience, the program of the visit of the Russian delegation also includes a meeting with Chinese film companies to discuss potential cooperation, a visit to the Suzhou Film and Television Industry Park and other events.
