MOSCOW, 26 Aug. Russia will continue to occupy a leading position in the grain market, despite the problems of shipping in the Black Sea. This is reported by the French publication Figaro.

"With exceptionally high wheat yields for the second year in a row (after last year's record), rather bright prospects open up for Russia. Russia will continue to dominate the grain market in 2023-2024, despite the uncertainty about the risks for shipping in the Black Sea,” the report says.
The newspaper also recalled the words of the chief agricultural market analyst at Agritel. In his opinion, Russian dominance is «simply necessary» in the face of global supply and demand volatility.
According to the USDA report, world wheat supplies will decrease by three million tons, while stocks will decrease slightly. This, according to the author, will strengthen Russia's position as the world's leading exporter. Russian exports, the author noted, account for 23 percent of world trade.
