PYATIGORSK, 27 Aug The fire at the Lira market in Pyatigorsk has been completely extinguished, there are victims, the head of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov said in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region reported that at 13.57 Moscow time a fire broke out in a bed linen store on an area of 600 square meters, it was extinguished by 45 people and 16 pieces of equipment. At 15.16 Moscow time, the fire was localized, its area increased to 1000 square meters, 73 people and 23 pieces of equipment participated in the extinguishing.
«Firefighters coped with the fire at the Lira market in the Piedmont District. The fire has been extinguished,» Vladimirov wrote.
According to him, there are no dead. «One of the firefighters received heat stroke while fighting the fire. He received medical assistance, hospitalization was not required. Three more people turned to the medical team sent to the place. There were also no hospitalizations,» Vladimirov added.
