MOSCOW, Aug 26 The death of director Gleb Panfilov is a serious loss for the country and people, said Alexei Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
Russian theater and film director, People's Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation Gleb Panfilov passed away on Saturday at the age of 89, director of the Lenkom Theater Mark Varshaver said.
«It's a pity … Yes, he was a great director, and this is a very serious loss for our country, for the people. He did a lot of things. He was an outstanding person,» Chepa said.
