Member of the State Duma Defense Committee, retired lieutenant general Viktor Sobolev commented on the message that Poland and the Baltic countries adopted a statement demanding Minsk to expel Wagner PMC fighters ; from the territory of Belarus.
As Sobolev noted in an interview with News.ru, the authorities of Poland and the Baltic countries should have nothing to do with this. He noticed that the group "Wagner" now there are no leaders, no heavy weapons, and a quarter of the participants have disappeared.
«I don't think they are afraid of anything, these are political games, besides, elections are coming soon in Poland», — suggested the deputy.
Sobolev added that the remains of the Wagner do not pose any threat and are attracted by Minsk to train Belarusian military personnel. At the same time, he recalled that Belarus is part of the Union State with Russia, and warned that Moscow would respond with all its might if pressure on Minsk continued.
