Combineer almost crushed 12- year-old child, trying to drive him off the field. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The incident occurred in early August on farmland in the Krasnoturansky district. A group of children were mowing grass near the village of Jirim when they were noticed by a 55-year-old machine operator of a local enterprise.
The man had a «brilliant» idea — to drive the children out of his mowing area with a combine. The multi-ton machine frightened away the young mowers, but one boy noticed the approach of heavy equipment too late.
The driver deliberately began to speed up the combine and turn on the harvester blades. The child got entangled in the grass due to panic and fell down. The man managed to slow down just a few meters away.
The boy's mother wrote a statement to the police, but they were in no hurry to consider it. A few days later, the parents received a refusal to initiate proceedings. However, the prosecutor's office canceled this decision.
A criminal case was opened against the combine driver for threatening to kill. The issue of recovery from the culprit of compensation for non-pecuniary damage in favor of the child and the cost of treatment by a psychologist will be resolved.
