A group of astronomers from Italy reported that found a planet similar to Neptune in size, which turned out to be the densest of the cosmic objects of this volume.
The object, called TOI-1853b, was found using the TESS space telescope, and then the discovery was confirmed using the MuSCAT2 telescopes , ULMT, SOAR and LCOGT, as well as the HARPS-N spectrograph, the Jenimi-North and Keck observatories.
The planet is assumed to be composed mainly of rocks and has a thin atmosphere.
