MOSCOW, Aug 31 Two members of the National Guard were injured in a clash with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Bryansk region, said Valery Gribakin, official representative of the Russian Guard.
On Thursday, the FSB of the Russian Federation reported that a sabotage group of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of Intelligence and the Special Operations Service was defeated in the Bryansk region: they planned to arrange a series of terrorist attacks in Russia. In the Navelsky district of the Bryansk region, two militants were liquidated, five were detained, three of them were injured.
«The National Guard organized a pursuit, blocked the enemy, entered the battle. Despite the injuries received during the clash by two members of the Russian Guard, two members of the DRG were liquidated, five were taken prisoner and held until the arrival of special forces,» Gribakin said.
He stressed that the wounded officers are receiving qualified medical assistance. There is currently no life threat.
In addition, the military of the Russian Guard will be presented with awards for their courage.
