The disappearance of Alina Gorbacheva became the main news of the day. By evening, the 16-year-old figure skater was found alive and unharmed. Sport tells her complicated story with her confessions.
On Tuesday afternoon, Gorbacheva's mother Yekaterina reported that her daughter had gone missing in Moscow the day before. By the middle of the day, law enforcement officers, cynologists and divers joined the search for the girl. It was reported that the last time she could be seen was on the embankment of the Moskva River in the north-west of the capital, but searches in that area did not give any results. Also, information about the discovery of Alina's personal belongings was not confirmed.
Later, the LizaAlert volunteer detachment, engaged in the search for missing people, gathered to search for Gorbacheva. Calls to sign up as a volunteer and provide any other assistance in finding the girl were published by many skaters, such as Alexandra Trusova, Alina Zagitova and Alena Kostornaya. And some of Alina's colleagues, for example, Russian ice dancing champion Elizaveta Khudaiberdiyeva, even personally signed up for the search party and arrived at the gathering place. one of the Moscow cafes. At the same time, the athlete herself could not be found. The case was personally controlled by the chairman of the investigative committee Alexander Bastrykin.
At 21:12, the Moscow prosecutor's office published information about the discovery of Alina in one of the cinemas of the capital. The girl is alive and well, according to preliminary information, no illegal actions were used against her. Currently, law enforcement officers are investigating the details of what happened.
Alina Gorbacheva is a unique figure skater. In the conditions of modern sports, when parents try to put their children on the ice as early as possible in order to achieve results, starting to practice at the age of 7 is the same as getting the stigma of being unpromising in any more or less self-respecting school. Alina was just one of those: an ordinary family, her native Krasnodar, where figure skating is like the sea — it seems to be somewhere nearby, but you still need to get to it. And in both cases — to Sochi.
“It seems that she did not seriously think about any classes, but then a turning point occurred in her life. “A friend invited me to a birthday party to the rink, and there I got on skates for the first time,” Alina said in an interview. “I liked it, and I began to ask my mother to start just going to the skating rink. And then one day I saw how a girl skates and does some elements. They were simple, but for me then it was just wow, how cool.
I got fired up and wanted to learn to skate too. Mom called in different sections, but she was refused everywhere — they said, girl too late, we won't take it at six and a half. Then one day we were walking through the shopping center and saw that there, on a small skating rink, a girl was working out with a coach. We went up to him, and he took me.»
Some time later, coach Sofya Fedchenko appeared in Gorbacheva's life, with whom she achieved her first successes. The skater herself described her relationship with her mentor as very reverent. In her words, in the face of Sophia she found «her man».
“Sometimes you look at a person and you understand that everything is mine,” she said. “You feel it, or something. It happened to me from the first lesson. two local girls skated, we all practiced there together, I went to school there, I started to represent Tver. And then we started training in Moscow. In an interview, Fedchenko said that from time to time Alina had to spend the night with her in a small room in the Plekhanovka hostel, where Sophia was studying at that time. However, over time, she made her first successes, and then, together with Fedchenko, they found a full-fledged training base at the Triumph skating rink in Khimki.
Since then, Alina's results have gone uphill. But despite the successes of Alina the figure skater, Alina the teenager did not go so smoothly. Gorbacheva spoke about the difficult relationship with her mother.
“I don’t communicate very well with my mother,” Alina said. “At one point, she didn’t want me to go in for figure skating, which is a waste of time, effort, money and health. I didn’t agree with her, so we have contact not very good. She congratulates me, we write off each other, we see each other sometimes. But I would not say that this is a relationship between mother and daughter. We have been like this for a long time. I am generally used to it. Dad stayed in Krasnodar, did not move, but we communicate normally . Mom lives in Moscow, moved. Disagreements have already happened here. «
From the age of 9, Alina has been living with Sophia. The girl calls the coach, who recently turned 28 years old, her second mother. And not just like that, because Fedchenko partially assumed obligations for the financial support of Alina and completely — for her education. Moreover, in parallel with this, Sophia also remained Alina's main coach.
Last season, Gorbachev began to show the first serious successes. At the stages of the Russian Grand Prix, she showed a clean quadruple salchow and won a bronze medal, which opened her way to the national figure skating elite. This was followed by getting into the top 10 at the adult championship of Russia, and at the junior championship of the country she sensationally took first place, beating such formidable rivals as Veronika Zhilina and Sofia Titova.
This allowed her to get into the Russian national team for the upcoming season. In mid-September, the athlete was supposed to participate in the test skates of the adult national team — it was reported that, despite the summer hip injury, she would be ready to perform. However, given the latest history, there is not much certainty about this. As well as the fact that, even if she can take part in the rentals, Fedchenko will prepare her for them. At the same time, according to , before the disappearance of Gorbacheva, she did not seek help from other top-level specialists, such as Eteri Tutberidze and Evgeni Plushenko.
