MINSK, September 2 Rosatom has offered Belarus a program of cooperation in the field of nuclear projects, Stanislav Levitsky, director of the country office of Rosatom in Belarus, said on Saturday.
«The comprehensive program of bilateral cooperation developed by the State Corporation in the field of nuclear non-energy and non-nuclear projects, which is already under consideration by authorities and departments, has been sent to the authorized bodies of the Republic of Belarus through diplomatic channels,» Levitsky told reporters at the opening of the science festival in Minsk.
As Levitsky explained, within the framework of this program, Rosatom offers the Belarusian side to carry out consistent work in such areas as the development of nuclear medicine, ecology, and digitalization. With Belarusian colleagues, the Russian side will jointly explore the possibility of using additive technologies and composite materials, he added.
«For us, the development of scientific, technical and human potential in Belarus is of great interest, since Rosatom aims to develop relations with enterprises and scientific institutions of the Republic of Belarus for many years to come. Speech it is not only about the tasks related to the completion of the construction of the BelNPP and its operation,» the representative of Rosatom explained.
Levitsky added that the successful implementation of the planned initiatives requires talented engineers, modern scientists, as well as support and understanding from the public — such events as the Festival of Science contribute to the solution of these problems.
On Friday, the «Festival of Science — 2023» is being held in the central botanical garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The festival presents achievements in the fields of medicine, robotics, space research and other scientific fields. For the first time at the «Festival of Science» a science fiction platform was organized — the Sci-fi zone.
The event is attended by representatives from the Russian Federation: the scientific and educational center «Reserved Embassy» of the park «Zaryadye» and the Russian Chemical Technical University named after. Mendeleev with master classes and scientific shows. The ATOM TEAM platform operates at the festival, organized with the support of the engineering division of the Russian state corporation Rosatom.
