The compact cross-country Tata Nexon started in its native India in 2017, in 2020 it experienced the first restyling. According to the results of six months of the year, the current five-door topped the rating of the most popular SUVs in the country (87,501 units, + 6%), although Nexon sales went negative in July. And now the crossover has been modernized again, only there are now much more new things.

The face of the SUV was completely redrawn, and the Nexon became the first Tata production model to try on a new corporate identity, which was demonstrated on the Sierra EV and Curvv concepts. No, Indian crossovers had double-decker head optics before (but not Nexon), but it was on this SUV that its new incarnation debuted: the running lights located on top were made in the form of thin diode strips with additional “touches” lined up in columns, plus the crossover got compact headlight blocks.

Inside, there is a different front panel and a new two-spoke steering wheel, different steels and finishing materials. The «simple» versions of the Tata Nexon, as before, have a multimedia system with a 7-inch screen, but the expensive versions received a larger tablet — a 10.25-inch diagonal. Other updates for “rich” performances include a full-fledged virtual tidy, a touch-sensitive climate control unit and all-round cameras. And from now on, all versions of Nexon have six airbags.

The engines are the same: a 1.2 Revotron petrol turbo (120 hp, 170 Nm) and a 1.5 Revotorq four-cylinder turbodiesel (115 hp, 260 Nm). Both motors are still combined with six-speed mechanics or an AMT robotic box.
