MOSCOW, Sep 4 The Moscow region took first place in the export of drinks, sending almost 152,000 tons abroad, said Georgy Filimonov, deputy chairman of the government of the Moscow region in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
«For seven months, the Moscow Region exported almost 152,000 tons of beverages worth $114.1 million. Such figures allowed the region to become the leader in Russia in terms of exports of this type of product,» Filimonov said, quoted by the press service Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
According to Filimonov, since the beginning of the year, exports of beverages to Uzbekistan have increased by 255%, supplies to Moldova have increased by 191%, and supplies to Moldova have increased by 160% to India. The Moscow region supplies abroad both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages: mineral water, non-alcoholic beer, and fruit juices.
Most of all drinks near Moscow were supplied to Kazakhstan, Belarus and Tajikistan.
