MOSCOW, September 5 Aeroflot has completed the settlement of relations with the Irish leasing company AerCap for 18 foreign-made aircraft. This is stated in the message of the air carrier.
“The process of settling relations with the lessor AerCap (Ireland) for 18 aircraft and 5 aircraft engines operated by companies of the Aeroflot group has been completed,” the company noted.
In accordance with the agreement reached, AerCap terminated its claims against Russian parties both under leasing agreements with PJSC Aeroflot and Rossiya Airlines JSC, and under insurance policies issued by Russian insurance companies, the carrier said.
Aeroflot added that LLC NSK Insurance Company, which paid the amount of the settlement, received ownership of the aircraft and engines.
The air carrier also announced that Aeroflot would continue negotiations on the settlement of existing claims with other lessors of foreign-made aircraft.
