BREST POLYGON (Belarus), September 6 The CSTO countries have created the conditions for an adequate response to the challenges of military security, said the head of the CSTO joint headquarters Anatoly Sidorov.
“The joint efforts of the CSTO member states have created the necessary conditions for an adequate response to modern challenges and threats to military security,” Sidorov said at the completion ceremony of the second stage of the CSTO exercises “Combat Brotherhood — 2023”, which took place on the territory of Belarus.
According to him, «there is a clear understanding of what needs to be done today to ensure reliable long-term military security of our states.»
Sidorov added that the next stage of the operational-strategic exercises «Combat Brotherhood-2023» will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
On the territory of Belarus, from September 1 to September 6, as part of the joint operational-strategic exercises of the CSTO «Combat Brotherhood-2023», exercises with the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO «Interaction-2023», special exercises with reconnaissance forces and means «Poisk-2023», special exercises with the forces and means of logistics «Echelon-2023», special exercises with the joint formation of NBC protection and medical support «Barrier-2023».
On Wednesday, at the Brestsky training ground, a tactical episode was played on the conduct of combat and special operations by the CSTO collective rapid response forces, which ended the stage of the Combat Brotherhood — 2023 exercises in Belarus. At the final stage, joint exercises with the CSTO peacekeeping forces «Indestructible Brotherhood-2023» are planned to be held on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
