Opposition politician Yulia Galyamina said that the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), after a court decision in her favor, again suspended her from work.
Yulia Galyamina was fired from the RANEPA at the end of December 2022 due to the fact that the Ministry of Justice entered her into the register of «foreign agents». The legislation prohibits the participants of the register from teaching.
Galyamina challenged in court the formal violations of labor laws upon dismissal, and on August 25, the court ordered the academy to reinstate the teacher at work, assigning her compensation.
“Between my restoration and the actual dismissal has not passed even a day. The order for reinstatement and suspension from work was signed in one day! — said the oppositionist. — This is not yet dismissal, but practically. But on the other hand, I will receive a salary in 8 months, and the seniority will be restored.”
Since 2017, Yulia Galyamina has been a municipal deputy of the Timiryazevsky district of Moscow, in 2019 she was going to participate in the elections to the Moscow City Duma, but she was not allowed. In 2021, she was prematurely deprived of her mandate in the Timiryazevsky District due to the fact that her sentence under the «Dadin» article on repeated violation of the rules of public events (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code) came into force.
Yulia Galyamina was given a two-year suspended sentence due to the fact that in 2020 the politician collected signatures on Pushkinskaya Square against amendments to the Constitution that nullified the terms of Vladimir Putin, despite the fact that her administrative decisions came into force due to for participating in the 2019 protests.
