The Ministry of Internal Affairs put Semyon Kochkin, editor of the Angry Chuvashia telegram channel and ex-head of Navalny's headquarters in Cheboksary, on the federal wanted list. Information about this appeared in the database of the department, Kochkin himself drew attention to the card.
In March, Astra reported that a criminal case had been opened against the activist for “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). The Telegram channel wrote that the reason for this was the publication in the Telegram channel «Angry Chuvashia» dated December 27, 2022. It spoke about a native of the republic and the head of the main computer center of the Ministry of Defense, Robert Baranov, who, according to The Insider's investigation, was responsible for missile launches in Kyiv.
Kochkin himself did not specify the details of the criminal case, but said that since September last year, Cheboksary courts fined him three times under administrative protocols on “discrediting” the military (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of anti-war posts and video in the Telegram channel «Angry Chuvashia». According to the first two protocols, Kochkin was fined 40,000 rubles each, and 30,000 rubles according to the last one.
In October last year, the Ministry of Justice declared Kochkin a «foreign agent.» The activist reported that he had left Russia.
