MOSCOW, September 6 Customs officers at the capital's Domodedovo airport found an undeclared watch with diamonds worth 7 million rubles from a passenger from Dubai, a woman threatens up to seven years in prison, the press service of the Federal Customs Service of Russia reports.
According to the department, during the inspection of the luggage of a passenger who arrived from Dubai, Domodedovo customs officers found branded packaging for elite watches from the Swiss brand Chopard. The woman voluntarily removed the watch from her hand and presented it for inspection.
«»An examination found that the case was made of 750 gold with diamond inserts. The cost of the watch is estimated at 7 million rubles,» the press service said.
The Federal Customs Service added that the issue of initiating a criminal case on the smuggling of jewelry made of precious metals belonging to the list of strategically important goods is now being decided.
