MOSCOW, Sep 5 Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on the development of the Far Eastern cities, he said that it was necessary to take additional support measures in order to create favorable conditions for people's lives, as well as attract qualified specialists to the Far Eastern region.
«I repeat, all three cities on our agenda are distinguished by harsh climatic conditions — this dictates its limitations in construction, leaves its mark on the way of life in these cities, and our task, using modern building materials and technologies of advanced urban planning solutions, is to create decent living conditions and a comfortable urban environment here so that people want to live here, work, raise children, so that young specialists come to these areas,» Putin said.
He specified that a modern transport infrastructure should be created in the Far Eastern District, and it is also necessary to arrange the supply of products to the region at affordable prices. «It is necessary to increase (the number — ed.) of local producers, to provide them with comprehensive assistance. For example, in Anadyr and Magadan, taking into account the available electricity, the construction of greenhouses will be profitable. They will help reduce the price of vegetables and berries for local residents. In any case, to stabilize this situation,» Putin noted.
The head of state proposed to actively implement cooperation with the capital's telemedicine diagnostic center and stimulate Far Eastern doctors with material support.
