MOSCOW , September 6The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow arrested a defendant in the case of the theft of about 2.5 million rubles from an apartment in Moscow, the correspondent reports.
Earlier, a source clarified to the agency that the apartment of People's Artist of Russia Yulia Rutberg suffered at the hands of an attacker.
«To satisfy the request of the investigation, to choose a preventive measure for Salamov in the form of detention for a period of two months,» judge Diana Mishchenko announced the decision.
According to the investigation, the suspect broke the lock of the front door and entered the actress's apartment in Moscow, from where he stole money in rubles and foreign currency, after which he disappeared. The police confirmed the amount of damage — it amounted to about 2.5 million rubles.
The attacker was detained in the suburbs, he turned out to be a 37-year-old man, part of the stolen was confiscated from him.
An agency source in law enforcement agencies also stated that the arrested person was a native of Uzbekistan with a previous conviction.
According to the article on the theft on an especially large scale, a man faces up to 10 years in prison.
