MELITOPOL, September 8 There is a large number in the Ukrainian army a number of those mobilized are sick, many have diabetes, said prisoner of war Vladimir Kutovoy.
According to him, he surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region in August, when he and his colleagues were caught in a “vice.”
«»(The moral state of the Ukrainian army) is bad. I can tell from myself. We are already tired… We were constantly sitting in one landing. All of them are sick, many have diabetes. The diseases are taking their toll. My blood pressure is high. I'm like- then I went to the medical unit, and they gave me a couple of tablets. Is this treatment? They promised to put us somewhere at checkpoints on bridges, but in the end we ended up here. Medical care is provided here,» the prisoner of war said.
According to him, the situation in the Ukrainian army is difficult, both at the level of support and at the level of spirit.
“»We were called up, brought to the landing area under the Green Field, and we were there for three days. Our support was… We had machine guns, and nothing else. We didn’t have any foreign weapons in the battalion, everything was Soviet. (With the command) there was a bad relationship towards the end. The authorities were untrained… Officers were given ranks after college. They had no experience,» said Kutovoy.
The prisoner of war also called on his former colleagues to surrender.
““I would like to say that they should return home. It’s worth surrendering into captivity. I’m already tired, I’m not the same in years, I’m not in such good health…” he said.
