MOSCOW, September 11. Singer Ani Lorak posted a post on her social network page in which she responded to Vitaly Borodin’s call and threats to remove her from NTV’s airwaves because of the artist’s controversial position on the Northern Military District and possible military assistance to Ukraine.
According to the artist, this is “false information.”
“I have never provided anyone with military assistance, and I do not intend to provide it, as this contradicts everything I believe in. I am a singer, not a politician,” Lorak said.
The artist added that she has been helping orphans for many years.
““I myself went through a boarding school, so I help families, refugees from Ukraine. This is targeted assistance to people who have lost their homes,” the singer wrote .
Earlier, Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption, called for the artist to be removed from NTV airwaves (Lorak joined the jury of the new season “You’re Super!” — Ed.).
In his address, he recalled that the celebrity had not yet expressed his position on the SVO. “People don’t understand who she is and who she supports,” Borodin noted.
“We will write a number of appeals, including to the head of NTV, asking to remove Ani Lorak from Russian airwaves,” the social activist threatened.
At the end of August, Borodin was also outraged that the performer was going to give a concert in Moscow. Then he also drew attention to the artist’s ambiguous position.
Later, information appeared in the media that Vitaly Borodin wrote a letter to Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, asking him to cancel the Lorak show, scheduled for September 27 at Crocus City Hall.
