VLADIVOSTOK, September 11 Myanmar uses yuan to pay for Russian supplies petroleum products, the parties are preparing an agreement on the mutual conversion of national currencies, said Myanmar Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Kan Zaw.
“»We use (to pay for supplies — ed.) the yuan. At the moment we do not use rubles, but we are working on an agreement on the mutual conversion of kyat-ruble. And we hope that it will be concluded soon,» he said Kan Zo on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
In September last year, Prime Minister of Myanmar and head of the State Administrative Council Min Aung Hlaing said that the country had begun purchasing Russian petroleum products.
