MOSCOW, September 11 Total number of observers at elections in 2023 increased by 30%, said the head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova.
“Compared to the previous Unified Voting Day, the total number of observers at our polling stations has increased by as much as 30%,” Pamfilova said at a briefing held in information center of the Central Election Commission, located in the international multimedia press center «Russia Today».
She added that they all “worked well.”
Elections in Russia on a single voting day in most regions took place over three days and started on September 8th. Elections of senior officials were organized in 21 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and additional elections of State Duma deputies for four vacant seats in single-mandate electoral districts. Elections were also organized in new regions: DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
