The Festival of Youth Orchestras of the World will be held in Russia

MOSCOW, August 14 The World Youth Orchestra Festival will be held for the first time from August 18 to 20 in Moscow, the project’s press service reported.
In total, musicians from 18 countries will take part in the festival. Among them are orchestras from Algeria and Uzbekistan, the Arab Youth Symphony Orchestra, young musicians from China, Korea, Moldova, Serbia, Chile, the UAE, Israel, Colombia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc.
The festival will feature: the Siberian and Ural Youth Symphony Orchestras, the Chelyabinsk Children's Symphony Orchestra and the Rosatom Youth Symphony Orchestra of the cities. The World Youth Symphony Orchestra will be created at the festival, whose concert will conclude the festival on August 20.

The initiator and main character of the Festival will be the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra, artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet.

Last year the orchestra celebrated its first serious anniversary — 10 years since the creation of the group. The orchestra was formed on the basis of a unique all-Russian competition.
For 10 years, the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra has performed many times in the leading concert halls of the world — Vienna, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan, Geneva, Beijing, Seoul and tours Russia with great success and desire.
The holding of the annual Festival of Youth Symphony Orchestras of the World in Moscow is a new stage in the development of the ensemble.
The festival in the Russian capital is supported by the Moscow government. -0-
