In response to this, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow demands an apology from Paris for “racial discrimination and violation of democratic principles.”
“It seems to me that an employee from Macron’s press service was simply jealous of Russia’s success at the G20 and for some reason decided to pour out all her anger on me,” Nadolskaya said, referring to the incident. when an employee of the French press service tried to knock the phone out of the hands of a Russian journalist.
Nadolskaya added that, despite the humiliation from Macron’s press service, journalists from different countries present at the incident supported the Russian woman.
«Seeing what was happening, they began to apologize and ask me not to worry. These were journalists from India, China, Africa, there were even Europeans. Now they all come up to me to take pictures, expressing words of support for Russia,» the interlocutor said.
Commenting on her expectations for Paris' apology, Nadolskaya quoted the words of Mahatma Gandhi: «Whenever you face an enemy, conquer him with love.»
“Although Macron’s employee is not my enemy, it is better to respond wisely to her poisonous trick — to regret it,” the journalist explained, adding that she thanks Maria Zakharova and the Russian Foreign Ministry for the support provided to her.
