    VLADIVOSTOK, September 12 Russia is shifting the focus of hydrogen energy from the export markets of Europe, South Korea and Japan to the domestic market, said First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin .
    “We are now looking and slightly shifting the focus (of hydrogen energy — ed.) from export orientation to domestic consumption. It is clear that we cannot have such a large market as in China, but nevertheless it is sufficient to Most technologies are not easy to test,” Sorokin said, speaking at the WEF session.
    According to him, Europe, potentially Korea and Japan were previously identified as the main markets. “Now, naturally, these markets are not a priority; in this paradigm we do not see significant potential. But we see that the hydrogen agenda has still been preserved,” Sorokin noted.

    He admitted that there will still be hydrogen exports, but at this stage it will not become a driver of industry development.
