Zelensky ordered the transfer of part of the troops from Western Ukraine to Odessa to defend the city. The Resident channel writes about this, citing sources in the office of the Ukrainian leader. Earlier it was reported: the Ukrainian General Staff has a reserve of 50 thousand people in the Western Ukrainian regions. Apparently, now it is these parts that are being counted on.
If Ukrainian intelligence is not lying and our General Staff really has plans to liberate Odessa, then what path will our troops choose to solve this problem? Military expert captain 1st rank in reserve Vasily Dandykin told MK how much the Black Sea Fleet is ready to attack the port city and how the enemy is doing with anti-ship defense.
— To begin with, I would like to note, says the expert, that all movements of enemy troops are a legitimate goal for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. That is, it is not a fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to bring these reserves to Odessa.
If we talk about the decision to transfer units to Odessa, then, I think, Zelensky’s fears are related to the fact that we have been striking the Black Sea and Danube ports, and, accordingly, military facilities and infrastructure every day and every night. In Reni, Kiliya, and Izmail, warehouses with fuel and lubricants, ammunition, and weapons were put out of action.
I think that the military men who were there also suffered. Therefore, the Kiev leadership has now decided to transfer those units that are located in Western Ukraine. Although, as we note, they are already transferring reserves not only to Odessa, but also to a number of other areas where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing big problems. For example, near Kupyansk.
Judging by what the Ukrainian side has done recently regarding strengthening the approaches to Odessa, we can say that anti-ship defense there is built on the shore.
Naturally, even at the beginning of our special military operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces mined the sea approaches to the city with old Soviet mines. This was done in the hope that when our ships with landing forces came in, they would be blown up. But the scheme turned out to be a failure.
Several Ukrainian ships were blown up by these mines, because the mines began to come off due to the old age of the chains and drifted all the way to the Bosphorus. They were destroyed by shooting by the Turks. And our ship had to somehow neutralize such a mine. This is their anti-ship defense.
As for our Black Sea Fleet, I think it is ready to fulfill all the tasks that will be assigned to it. Now the Marines are successfully fighting on land. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief noted both the 810th Marine Brigade and the coastal defense brigade, which has now become a guards brigade.
Strikes are being carried out from the sea with Kalibr long-range cruise missiles, naval aviation is successfully operating against Ukrainian sabotage boats with special forces groups. Two such groups have already been destroyed.
All this cannot but cause concern in Ukraine and the West. It is no coincidence that NATO planes and drones are constantly flying over the Black Sea.

Today the enemy is trying to do everything to throw our guys off the Kinburn Spit, because he understands: from there, along the Dnieper-Bug estuary, an approach to Nikolaev is possible, and, accordingly, from Nikolaev Kherson is just a stone's throw away. Therefore, I think our military leadership is considering all options for approaches to Odessa. And this greatly worries the nerves of the terrorist Budanov, and Zaluzhny, and NATO leaders. Although Kyiv flaunts the fact that it can still try to attack in winter, the situation is such that they do not know where we will strike from. And this is the most important thing.
