MOSCOW, September 12 Parliamentarians will support the president’s proposal Russia to establish in its calendar the Day of Reunification of New Regions with the Russian Federation, this is an absolutely correct, fair decision, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko said in her Telegram channel.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin introduced a bill to the State Duma, which proposes to establish a new memorable date Russia — September 30 — Day of reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with Russia.
«I am sure that today's proposal by the president to establish in the calendar the Day of the reunification of new regions with Russia is an absolutely correct, fair decision. An act of national gratitude,» she wrote senator. She noted that she has no doubt that “federal legislators, including senators, will support this initiative of the head of state.”
