VLADIVOSTOK, September 14 Aeroflot and Yakovlev (part of the UAC state corporation Rostec) plan to create software for new domestic aircraft, the general director told reporters carrier Sergei Aleksandrovsky at the VEF.
“Of course, this is in our joint plans with a partner who provides us with similar services for Western-made aircraft. Our partner, together with us and with Yakovlev, will implement similar solutions on new domestic aircraft. We are also discussing with Russian providers the provision of Internet on board,» he said when asked about plans to create software.
On Tuesday at the EEF, Aeroflot and Yakovlev entered into an agreement under which they plan to create domestic services and digital solutions to increase the efficiency of operating Russian aircraft and automate their maintenance process.
The message from Yakovlev PJSC noted that the companies intend to jointly use special software for processing flight information from on-board recorders, including functions for maintaining statistics and trend analysis of data. In addition, as follows from the message, special attention in the agreement is paid to improving the comfort of passengers of Aeroflot PJSC through the integration of on-board entertainment systems, including satellite communication systems, into aircraft.
