MOSCOW, September 14. Ukraine is not able to survive an armed conflict with Russia, said former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin on his YouTube channel.
“
"Ukraine is not able to withstand this. <…> There is simply a very difficult exchange of blows,” the political scientist said.
He called for a radical change in the course of the conflict, since a demographic crisis began in the country due to the flight of millions of Ukrainians to other countries and the almost complete cessation of the birth rate. The longer the conflict continues, the more Ukraine will be destroyed, Soskin emphasized.
“
"Who benefits from this? Poland wins. All the Baltic countries, America, everyone wins, and who loses? Ukraine,” the former adviser complained.
According to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, from February 24 last year to May 23 this year, more than eight million Ukrainians came to Europe.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting a counter-offensive in the South Donetsk, Artemovsk and Zaporozhye directions for four months now, throwing into battle brigades trained by NATO and armed with Western military equipment. However, they failed to achieve success on any sector of the front. According to Vladimir Putin, this is not just a slippage, but a failure. Media and military experts from the United States and Europe also write that Kyiv’s summer campaign turned out to be a failure. At the same time, they note the effectiveness of Russian minefields and layered defense.
