“I propose to register the elected mayor of Moscow Sergei Semyonovich Sobyanin, issue Sergei Semyonovich Sobyanin with a certificate of election as mayor of Moscow,” said the chairman of the election commission Olga Kirillova. The decision was made unanimously.
The Moscow mayoral elections were held from September 8 to 10. According to the final results, Sobyanin received 76.39% of the votes, 2,499,114 people voted for him. The final turnout for the elections for the mayor of Moscow was 42.5%.
On Tuesday, the Moscow City Election Commission recognized the elections as valid and valid.
In the last elections for the mayor of Moscow, held in 2018, Sobyanin gained 70.17% votes, 1,582,762 people voted for him. The turnout then was 30.96%.
