TASHKENT, September 14The External Labor Migration Agency of Uzbekistan together with AvtoVAZ JSC plan to select up to 1 thousand citizens of the country to work at the car plant, the agency’s press service reported.
Earlier, the agency reported that it had begun sending compatriots to work at AvtoVAZ JSC as part of an organized labor recruitment. At the beginning of September, representatives of AvtoVAZ held a selection in Tashkent and a number of regions of Uzbekistan among citizens of the republic to work at the car plant.
» «We have an application from AvtoVAZ for 1 thousand vacancies, now competitive selections for work at this enterprise are being held in the regions of Uzbekistan,» — said the agency representative.
According to him, the first group of 10 people has already been sent this week, and in the coming days another 30 workers from Uzbekistan will fly to work at AvtoVAZ. Recruitment is carried out, in particular, for the specialties of mechanic, welder, stamper, and painter. The salary level is 67-74 thousand rubles.
In accordance with the terms of recruitment, the car plant pays transportation costs from Uzbekistan, accommodation and medical insurance for employees.
At the beginning of September, AvtoVAZ reported that it continued to increase production rates and confirmed plans to produce more than 400 thousand cars by the end of 2023.
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Togliatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of brand cars in 2022 amounted to 188.6 thousand units (-46% by 2021).
