Tuning studio Mansory from the Bavarian town of Brand presented a modified version of the second-generation Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4² SUV: engine output The V8 here has been increased from stock 585 hp. and 850 Nm up to 850 hp. and 1000 Nm, and the exterior and interior design has been redesigned in the best traditions of Mansory.
Mansory continues to breathe in the back of Brabus, consistently presenting its best new products in addition to those previously presented by colleagues from Bottrop: this happened, for example, with variations on the Porsche 911 Turbo S theme and this happened with the Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4² — Brabus finalized this rare version of the Gelika with wheel gears in February, and Mansory showed its answer this week, it was named Gronos 4×4.
Mansory’s design is more expressive than Brabus’s, on the verge and beyond of kitsch, but this is precisely the feature that Mansory clients like, but in terms of engineering tuning, both German companies are at approximately the same level. If Brabus increases the power of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine on a “portal” SUV to a maximum of 800 hp, then Mansory offers 50 “horses” more, but at the same time the acceleration time to 100 km/h remains at the stock level — 4 .5 s. The 800-horsepower Brabus reaches the first “hundred” in 4.1 seconds. Alas, Mansory does not disclose the details of the power increase program. The maximum speed of Gronos 4×4 is limited to 210 km/h.

The external carbon fiber body kit, partially painted on the demo sample in body color, is a hodgepodge of other “Geliks” in the Gronos line. So, we have already seen many elements on the three-door Mansory Gronos Coupe EVO C, including a slit hood, a fanged front bumper and a developed anti-wing above the tailgate, but there are also a couple of unique details — a protective cross member under the rear bumper and a new “chandelier” shape. on the roof with four round headlights and longitudinal “fins” in the style of Batman’s cars.

Let us once again emphasize Mansory’s love for small details: the Gronos 4×4 has carbon fiber backings for the turn signals on the sides of the hood, mirror housings and the frame of the dual exhaust pipes, and Mansory logos are applied to all door handles. The branded emblem on the front end is equipped with LED backlighting, and retractable footrests are installed under the sills.
Mansory wheels are traditionally of their own production, in this case they are old-fashioned-looking forged FD.15 wheels with massive cores, they are shod all-terrain tires Pirelli Scorpion ATR size 325/55 R 22.

The interior of the demo sample is upholstered in the most delicate white quilted leather, and even the bases of the seats, sills and rugs are covered with it, so it’s hard to imagine that someone would go off-road in this beauty — such upholstery can be hopelessly dirty in no time. At the customer's request, Mansory is, of course, ready to offer more practical decor. Among the interesting features, we note the engine start button moved to the ceiling, decorative LED panels in the door panels and two luxurious chairs in the second row, separated by a high central tunnel with cup holders and storage niches.

Mansory will release only 10 copies of the Gronos 4×4, the price has not been disclosed, but it is clear that it is huge — perhaps seven figures.
