The State Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China has released information on the state of the national economy at the end of August. The data, as the MMI telegram channel writes, indicates attempts to overcome the crisis and resume recovery growth.
Thus, industrial growth amounted to 4.5% in annual terms against 3.7% in July (analysts expected 4 %). Industrial production increased by 2.3% (1.3% in July).
Retail sales also turned out to be higher than expected — 4.6% versus the expected 3% (2.5% in July). Sales of cars, clothing, jewelry, communications equipment, furniture and a number of other categories are growing.
The unemployment rate decreased by 0.1% to 5.2%.
