The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg dismissed the administrative case of “discrediting” the army against local resident Tatyana Sichkareva, the joint press service of the city courts reported in its Telegram channel, but later deleted the message (the publication with the title “You can die just like that” was preserved in the archive).
On June 7, 2023, Sichkareva went to the selection point for military service under a contract in Podezdny Lane with a poster “Don’t go to kill, don’t go to die,” as a result, a report of “discredit” was drawn up against her Russian military (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code).
Sichkareva refused to give an explanation to the police, citing Article 51 of the Constitution, so the court came to the conclusion that the content of the poster “does not allow it to be correlated with a special military operation,” since “death and murder can be not only a consequence of an armed conflict with the participation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.”
“The inscription on the poster in this case is interpreted broadly and its true meaning is not confirmed by the case materials, and the conclusions of the official who compiled the protocol are conjectures,” the court explained and dismissed the case for lack of evidence of an offense.
